Cousin hawksbill turtle nesting
4° 19.8′ S · 55° 39.8′ E
Cousin is one of the few places where endangered hawksbill turtles haul out to nest in daylight, so a lucky morning tour can find a female digging on the beach.
Practical
Nature Seychelles: hawksbills nest ashore during the day each year; a female may nest two to three times a season. Neighbouring Cousine gives the peak as October–February, and Aride's reserve gives September–March. Keep a respectful distance and follow the warden. Coordinate: island centre (Wikipedia).
