Anse Kerlan Anchorage

4° 18.1′ S · 55° 40.5′ E · approximate

A string of small beaches split by breakwaters on Praslin's north-west tip, facing Cousin and Cousine, used as a calm-weather day stop between Anse Lazio and Grand Anse.

Practical

Behind the offshore reef the water is relatively deep, but waves can be strong and currents run along the shore (SeyVillas), so it is a day stop in settled conditions, not an overnight. It faces west and north-west, so it is exposed to the NW monsoon. No cruising-guide depths or holding found in the sources checked. Ashore: Anse Kerlan supermarket and village shops on the road, and the Constance Lemuria golf course to the north. Whale Rock (Roche Baleine) dive site lies off Miller's Point to the west. Position approximate: about 400 m west of the OSM-mapped Anse Kerlan beach.
