Anse Soleil

4° 44.7′ S · 55° 27.9′ E

A small, bright bay of golden sand and turquoise water tucked below the headland, with a beach restaurant right on the sand.

Practical

Deep water close in and a sharp drop-off not far out; stay near the shore with children. Good snorkelling along the rocks (Seyvillas lists Anse Soleil among the south's best snorkel spots). Bus stop about 200 m; limited parking. Restaurant on the beach (Wikivoyage praises its red snapper); shops about 500 m away.

Best for

Snorkelling and a beach lunch
