Anse à la Mouche Anchorage

4° 44.2′ S · 55° 29.3′ E · approximate

A long, curved, very shallow bay on the southwest coast, ringed by shops, small restaurants and the Canopy by Hilton resort, with famous sunsets.

Practical

Coordinate derived: about 350 m off the beach, checked to be in the water against OSM coastline; no cruising-guide depth data, and the inner bay is very shallow (Seyvillas), so anchor well out in the bay and sound carefully. The Moorings' two-week SE-season route includes an 'Anse La Mouche visit', and one cruiser spent several days aboard a yacht here exploring the south (Hacking family, 2007). Windsurfing and kitesurfing in the bay. Ashore: Anchor Café, MURALI mini market (OSM: daily 9am-10pm), greengrocers, Dive Resort Seychelles; Chauve Souris islet lies 400 m west.
