Aldabra Visitor Impact Fee (SIF)

9° 23.9′ S · 46° 12.3′ E · approximate

Every person aboard a vessel visiting Aldabra, crew included, pays the Seychelles Islands Foundation impact fee, which funds the management of the World Heritage atoll.

Practical

SIF's Aldabra page (2026) states: the current impact fee is USD 250 per day per passenger and crew; its FAQ on visit costs agrees ($250 per person per day), but another FAQ answer still quotes EUR 200 per day, so confirm the figure and payment method with SIF (info@sif.sc) when you apply. Tour operators usually include it in the package. Clearance must be requested in advance on SIF's Aldabra Clearance Request Form (July 2025 version), with your port clearance attached, and you also need Seychelles Ports Authority permission. Photography and filming for commercial use carry separate fees. Coordinate is approximate: the Picard research station, where SIF staff meet visiting vessels.
