Raymur Point Customs Dock (Victoria Harbour)

48° 25.3′ N · 123° 22.8′ W · approximate

The CBSA telephone reporting dock for small craft entering Canada at Victoria. It is a single long float on the south side of the middle harbour, between Fisherman's Wharf and the Coast Harbourside hotel docks.

Practical

Position is approximate. Look for a float of about 49 m (160 ft) with yellow-capped pilings marked Customs, just past the float homes at the east end of Fisherman's Wharf. Tie up, call CBSA on the phone on the float (or 1-888-226-7277) and give Raymur Point CBSA Boat Dock as your reporting site. Only the master may step off until CBSA clears the boat. Have ready: boat name and registration, names, birth dates and citizenship of everyone aboard, length of stay, and a declaration of goods (including firearms, cannabis, alcohol, tobacco, and currency of C$10,000 or more). Failing to report starts at a C$1,000 fine and can lead to seizure. NEXUS members (everyone aboard) can instead call 1-866-996-3987 between 30 minutes and 4 hours before arrival. Foreign boats only passing through Canadian waters without stopping, anchoring or meeting another boat do not need to report.
