White Island (San Jose)

12° 19.7′ N · 121° 2.8′ E

A low sand island at the mouth of Mangarin Bay with a long powdery beach where turtles occasionally nest.

Practical

Position: OSM 'LISING's White Island' camp site. Wikivoyage: long powdery beach where buried turtle eggs are occasionally found; 15 minutes by pumpboat from the port. Hackingfamily warns that the three sand islands north of Mangarin Bay have larger reefs than they appear - visit by dinghy from the San Jose anchorage rather than bringing the yacht in close.
