Talim Bay Anchorage (Binubusan, Lian)
13° 58.4′ N · 120° 37.1′ E · approximate
A small bay tucked behind Talim Point on the Lian coast, south of Nasugbu, with two community marine protected areas on its reef. It gives a lee from the south and south-west that the open Nasugbu shore lacks.
Practical
Position approximate: in open water about 500 m north of the bay's south shore, derived from OSM coastline geometry. The headland at about 13.979N 120.603E, beside the Maria Cristina Talim Campgrounds (OSM), forms the bay's western arm, and the bay opens to the north-west into Nasugbu Bay. The name 'Talim Bay' is not itself mapped in OSM, so this identification rests on the Talim place names around it. Depth and holding are not documented in the sources found; sound carefully, as the inner bay shoals and has reef. Do not anchor inside the Binubusan Marine Protected Area (OSM, about 13.978-13.985N 120.614-120.623E) or the Kay Reya Marine Protected Area (OSM, about 13.984-13.992N 120.617-120.628E) to the north; local rules for these MPAs were not found, so ask the barangay before snorkelling or fishing. Protection: a lee from S-SW winds, but open to the north-west. Binubusan village and road access are to the south-east.
Best for
A lee from the south on the Lian coast
Season
Best with S-SW winds; open to NW
