Station 3 Anchorage (south White Beach)
11° 56.9′ N · 121° 55.6′ E
The only published yacht anchoring position we found off White Beach: the southern end off Station 3 and Angol, where a cruising yacht lay among the island's anchored tour boats in January 2016.
Practical
Position: 11°56.89'N 121°55.63'E, logged by SY Dawnbreaker in January 2016, about 450 m off the Station 3 beach. They described a congested field of anchored boats, constant traffic from paraw sailboats, parasail speedboats and dive barges, and bass from the beach bars late into the night; they left after about 20 hours. No depth or holding given; the YIT guide's only depth for White Beach is 4–7 m over sand at the north end (Punta Bunga). Anchor on clear sand: seagrass off White Beach is protected and anchoring off the beach is regulated (see White Beach Anchoring and Boat Traffic Rules). Call PCG Boracay or the Boracay Tourism Office on VHF 16 before approaching. Lee in the amihan (NE); untenable in the habagat (SW/W). Dinghy only to public landing areas; Station 3 has the island's cheaper bars and eateries.
