Sibuyan Southeast Anchorage (Azagra)

12° 16.6′ N · 122° 38.0′ E

A palm-backed sandy beach near Azagra port on Sibuyan's south-east corner, low enough to let the breeze through but blocking the seas in the south-west monsoon.

Practical

Position: Changing Spots (June 2018, SW winds), 12-16.626N 122-37.981E, 25 ft, good holding in grassy sand, good Globe signal. Near a dock and ramp (Azagra port), with buses and roads for a shore excursion. Savannah (January 2014) anchored nearby off a very small village at 12-17.248N 122-38.517E in 20 ft sand when wind and tide kept them from San Fernando. This is one of the few Sibuyan anchorages reported for the habagat; in strong NE amihan it is more exposed - use San Fernando or the south-west coast.

Best for
