Salvacion Anchorage (Gutob Bay)
12° 8.2′ N · 119° 55.3′ E
A mud anchorage off the long pier at Salvacion, the municipal centre of Busuanga, in the island-sheltered Gutob Bay on the west coast.
Practical
RCC/Plainsong (2025): anchored in mud at 12 08.2N 119 55.3E off a large pier with easy landing; 15-minute walk to town (tricycles for the return). Salvacion has an ATM, a small public market, a small grocery and sari-sari stores. Lots of aquaculture off the south end of Capare Island. There are other options further south in the channel and at the north end of Gutob Bay. Webb (2009) says Gutob Bay has several good typhoon holes among the islands, and Busuanga Old Town (12 10N 119 55E) nearby is a good anchorage where some boats stay for a month or more.
