Punta Fuego Anchorage

14° 8.2′ N · 120° 35.0′ E

A sheltered anchorage off the Punta Fuego peninsula, below the clifftop villas and golf course of the gated Club Punta Fuego. It is handy for the club's marina, fuel and the Fuego Point marine sanctuary.

Practical

Position from the PGYC West Luzon inbound notes: 14°08.25'N 120°35'E, described as a sheltered anchorage but not typhoon safe. The same notes say Punta Fuego Yacht Club opened a marina pontoon on the south side of the peninsula for visiting yachts (free at the time of writing; that was years ago, so verify locally) and that it is really for members who own land at Punta Fuego. The PGYC directory lists Punta Fuego Yacht Club at N14°07.79' E120°35.39' on VHF 72, with launching ramp, marina, showers, restaurant, internet and fuel. Short-stay berths are subject to availability; medium and long stays need membership. Contact: +63 43 729-0182, +63 917 511-1616, marina@clubpuntafuego.com. Depth and holding are not given; sound in. For typhoon shelter, move to Hamilo Cove or Maya-Maya.
