Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) Season in Bacuit Bay
11° 9.9′ N · 119° 23.6′ E · approximate
From roughly November to April the northeast monsoon brings dry, steady wind, the clearest water and the most usable anchorages - Bacuit's prime cruising season.
Practical
Approx: plotted at Corong-Corong, the NE-season anchorage. Southeast Asia Pilot: the NE monsoon gives more anchorages and stable weather; water clarity is best December to March. Use Corong-Corong rather than the town anchorage (rolly in NE swell). Late-season typhoons can still hit northern Palawan in November-December (Typhoon Rai/Odette, December 2021). Expect strong NE days around Coron and Linapacan; amihan winds ease by mid-April. PAGASA: dry season Dec-May (cool dry Dec-Feb, hot dry Mar-May).
