11° 10.3′ N · 119° 23.7′ E
The public market on the road between town and Corong-Corong - fresh prawns, fish, pork, vegetables and fruit, and a cruiser favourite.
Practical
OpenStreetMap position (Puerto Princesa North Road, Corong-Corong). Hacking Family: 'quite good' for fruit, vegetables and pork; never found good beef. Speedwell (2023): 'an excellent fresh market very close to the anchorage'. Furthur Adventures (April 2026): 'one of the best in the country'. Go early morning. Cash. Wanderlog listing: open daily 5:30 am-8 pm; extra produce stalls on Wednesdays and Saturdays (the main market days); fish, squid, prawns, mussels and lapu-lapu (grouper) are cheap - check prawn sizes, as mixed sizes are common, and compare stalls. Bread is sold at different times of day. Ice for the cool box: ask the fish vendors (no dedicated ice plant was verified in sources).
