Mt Tundalara (Mount Dalara)

12° 1.8′ N · 120° 13.9′ E

The highest summit on Busuanga Island at 620 m, the peak that looms north of Coron town and fills the view from Mt Tapyas: a full-day guided climb for crews who want more than 700 steps.

Practical

Summit position and 620 m height from OpenStreetMap (GNS source); Wikipedia's Busuanga Island infobox gives the same height and names it the island's highest point. No published trail description was found in the sources: hire a local guide in Coron town (ask at your dive shop or WG Diner), start at first light to beat the heat, and carry plenty of water. Not to be confused with the easy Mt Tapyas stairway (see that entry). Rain makes the trail slippery in the habagat.

Best for

A big summit day from Coron
