Coron town is the base for the WWII wreck fleet, with a dozen dive operators running daily boats to the Japanese ships sunk on September 24, 1944, plus Barracuda Lake and the Coron Island reefs.
Practical
Point is Neptune Dive Center (Wikivoyage lists 11.9989N 120.2041E, hours 8am to 7pm). Others named by Wikivoyage: Sea Dive (biggest in town; Wikivoyage says it has the only recompression chamber in Palawan on site, an undated claim to verify before relying on it), Discovery Divers on Discovery Island, Reggae Dive Center, and Coron Divers (Filipino-owned; Wikivoyage 2026: PHP 4,500 per day for 3 dives; Reggae PHP 6,000 per day for 3 dives). Pirate Divers is a PADI 5 Star centre on Busuanga. Dugong Dive Center at El Rio y Mar in the north runs Kyokuzan Maru and dugong trips. Most wrecks are 10-43 m; penetration needs wreck training and Nitrox helps (coronwrecks.com recommends 28-38 percent mixes depending on the wreck). Many wrecks carry mooring lines at bow and stern: Hackingfamily warns they are strong enough only in light winds and dive boats will raft onto you, so do not overnight on them.
