Handayan Island Anchorage (Getafe)
10° 8.9′ N · 124° 10.5′ E
A well-protected mud anchorage behind Handayan Island, inside the Danajon Bank off Getafe.
Practical
Shangaied (2013, Philippines Compendium): 10 08.925'N 124 10.55'E, 13 m mud, good holding, protected from the south-west. Arnak (January 2013): 10 09.46'N 124 09.92'E in 10 m mud, then moved further north-west to get away from loud videoke; 'nice island and very protected'. Webb (2009) describes Getafe (Jetafe) as a reasonable provisioning stop 'but not all that much there', and warns that the charts from Macar to Getafe may be inaccurate.
Best for
