Carabao's white-sand shores: Hambil (San Jose) beach on the east by the town, Lanas on the west with sunset views of Boracay's Puka Beach, and Tinap-an in between.
Practical
Approx: plotted at Said Beach next to Hambil Pier (OpenStreetMap), the closest mapped beach to the poblacion. Hambil/San Jose beach: powdery sand, very clear water, more locals than tourists, homestays, Republic of Inobahan guesthouse and restaurant beside the tourism office. Lanas Beach (west coast, about 15 minutes by road): calmer, sunset views, Lanas Beach Resort and The Beach House with bars, and the jump-off for dive sites. 'Inobahan' is the guesthouse and a barangay road rather than a separate beach. Island attractions: Cathedral Cave cliff jump (3–14 m boards, PHP 100), Koding Koding and Busay cliff jumps (PHP 100 each), Ngiriton bat cave, Tagaytay sunset viewpoint (PHP 50). Scooter about PHP 500/day; habal-habal PHP 50–100.
