Calauit Cut Anchorage

12° 16.2′ N · 119° 53.1′ E

A mud-bottomed cut between Calauit and Busuanga that lets you anchor within dinghy reach of the safari park's dock.

Practical

Hackingfamily (May 2022): 12 16.18N 119 53.10E in 32 ft (10 m) mud. Reefs NW of the entrance extend further than Navionics shows but were deep enough to sail over; entry needs a dog-leg to avoid shallows on both sides. Anchor anywhere in the cut; it shoals further in, with lots of room. The national park headquarters and a good dinghy dock lie north of the anchorage. A dinghy channel (starting south of the cut) leads through mangroves to the far side; use satellite imagery. Cell (2022): Globe 4G, no Smart.
