The conservation fees and rules every visitor to Apo pays and follows. They fund patrol-boat fuel, the sanctuary guardians' salaries and marker buoys.

Practical

Position approx: Apo Island village (barangay) centroid from OpenStreetMap. Fees (philippinedives.com, May 2026): PHP 300 island entrance per person plus PHP 300 mandatory sanctuary guide fee per group; dive centres usually include these in Apo day-trip prices. Rules: maximum 15 divers a day in the core sanctuary; local guide mandatory; no night diving in sanctuary zones; only Apo residents may fish; anchoring only on designated moorings; fines up to PHP 50,000 for illegal fishing or anchor damage. Wikivoyage's 2009 conservation-tax figures (PHP 300 inside the sanctuary, PHP 200 outside) are out of date. Pay at the ranger station and keep the receipt.
