Punta Chivato Shell Beach
27° 3.7′ N · 111° 58.1′ W · approximate
A very long beach heaped with 'shell dunes' of old, sun-worn shells — one of the best shelling walks in the Sea of Cortez.
Practical
Coordinate is approximate: south of the anchorage along the beach toward the Islas Santa Inés shallows, derived from the OSM coastline. A short dinghy ride from the anchorage. Sand dollars are rare. Leave live shells.
Best for
Shelling and long beach walks
