The lighthouse at the tip of the Boca Paila peninsula, marking the north side of Bahía de la Ascensión and visible far out to sea.

Position from SEMAR Notice to Mariners 339/2023 (19 46'50.29"N, 87 28'11.88"W): group of 4 white flashes, 19 nm range, restored to normal operation 25 September 2023 after being at reduced power and then out in August-September 2022. Further south, the Punta Nohku beacon (19 38'47.0"N, 87 27'11.16"W) was reported unlit in February 2023 - check current notices. A walk from the village (Wikivoyage).
