Puerto Angelito and Playa Manzanillo Snorkel (Puerto Escondido)

Two small, calm coves west of the main bay, separated by rocks that Wikivoyage calls probably the best snorkeling in town, with sea turtles and stingrays often seen.
Practical
Position is the OpenStreetMap Puerto Angelito point (node 4649535690); Playa Manzanillo is next door (Wikivoyage 15.8581, -97.0731). Reach on foot or by a short taxi ride from the center via Rinconada (Rough Guides); at Playa Manzanillo loungers are free with a food or drink purchase. Snorkel the rocks between the two beaches in calm conditions. A local dive shop, Deep Blue, works from Hotel Ines on Zicatela (two-tank dive US$70 per Wikivoyage; older price, verify locally).
