Marina Fonatur Cozumel
20° 29.0′ N · 86° 58.5′ W · approximate
A 333-berth federal marina built by Fonatur (the agency that created Cancún) beside the Caleta basin south of San Miguel - the biggest berthing facility on the island.
Practical
Coordinate is approximate: the same Noonsite Cozumel port position used for Marina Caleta, since BoatTEST (January 2024) says Fonatur is next to Caleta and shares its sea access; the basin itself is not separately surveyed. El Financiero (July 2015) reported 333 berths and a 466 million peso investment, with CFE shore power, an administration building, a visitor boarding area and a dive-tank filling building. Phone given by BoatTEST: +52 987 871 4381. A Noonsite reader (2019) could not find slip rates online; one 2019 commenter found the marina unhelpful to transients. Rates and transient policy: verify locally. A 2020 local report said ASIPONA took over administration from Fonatur.
