Marina El Cid (Mazatlán)

23° 16.1′ N · 106° 27.9′ W

A 120-slip resort marina just inside the narrow Sábalo channel entrance, part of the El Cid hotel complex. It is the sport-fishing hub of Mazatlán, and berth guests get the resort pools, beach club and golf course.

Practical

VHF 16. Slips for boats from 25 to 120 ft. Published daily rates (marina website, checked 2026, USD per ft per day, tax and electricity extra): up to 59 ft $1.25 for 1–30 days, $0.85 for 31–90 days, $0.70 for over 91 days; 60 ft and over $1.70 / $1.30 / $0.85. Credit-card voucher required. Services: potable water, showers, laundromat, 30/50/100-amp power (extra), 24-hour security, parking for one vehicle, diesel and gasoline fuel dock, pump-out, and on-site Port Captain check-in for transients. Entrance waypoint from the marina: 23°16.062'N, 106°28.119'W. The marina is in shallow water: tell the office your draft and confirm the slip depth, because cruisers report boats sitting in the mud at low tide. Noonsite notes El Cid is too exposed to serve as a hurricane hole. Enter on a rising or high tide (see the entrance-channel passage). Sábalo-Centro buses run from the hotel zone to the old town.

Best for

Easy-access resort berth by the entrance, with fuel and the fishing fleet

Season
