Isla de Pájaros (Mazatlán)
23° 15.3′ N · 106° 28.6′ W
Bird Island is the northernmost of Mazatlán's three offshore islands, a steep seabird roost about 1 nm off Playa Sábalo that makes a striking backdrop to the marina entrance.
Practical
Pass it on the way in or out of the Sábalo channel. There's no landing beach for yachts, so admire it from the water and give the rocky shore a wide berth. Marina El Cid's charter fleet runs bird-watching trips (daily at 2 pm and 3:30 pm, 1.5 hours, USD 110 per adult on the 2026 website), but those tours work the marina channel and lagoon. Coordinate is the OpenStreetMap islet centroid.
