24° 30.4′ N · 110° 23.4′ W
A sweet two-lobed bay on the northern third of Espíritu Santo, split by a rock spine with a candle-like pinnacle - canyon hiking, snorkeling and some of the best paddling in the archipelago.
Practical
Position: Online Cruising Guide map pin (Cruisers Academy pin 24°30'18.6"N 110°23'11.8"W; OCG safe-distance waypoint 24°30.000'N 110°24.250'W). Room for 3-4 boats on each side of the central rock spine in 20-30 ft, good sand. Protected from N, E and S; most choose the northern half in winter northers. NOT protected from the spring/summer Coromuel; some SW swell gets in. Approach: Isla Ballena is the only real obstacle from the south; deep water right up to the northern headland. Snorkeling is modest around the pinnacle (Cruisers Academy) but good along the rocks; long SUP tours north and south. Inside Archipiélago Espíritu Santo National Park: every person aboard needs the daily CONANP bracelet (225 MXN/person/day on the CONANP page) or an annual Conservation Passport.
