Gustavia's walk-to beach just south of town, made of tiny shells rather than sand, with calm water, a sunset view back to the harbour entrance and the Carnival's closing parade.
Practical
OpenStreetMap beach position, a 5-minute walk from the harbour or a short dinghy ride round La Pointe. Hurricane Lenny stripped it in 1999 and it was renourished in 2000. Restaurants on the sand: Shellona and Do Brazil (reserve in season). Combine with the steps up to Fort Karl.
