Rendezvous Bay Anchorage
18° 10.1′ N · 63° 6.9′ W · approximate
The best-sheltered of Anguilla's south-coast bays: sand bottom off a two-mile beach, protected from the north, and a useful stop on the run between Road Bay and St Martin.
Practical
Coordinate approx: about 400 m off the middle of the beach (OpenStreetMap bay way 200701431); sound your way in on sand. Requires the cruising permit. AXA (local yacht agent) lists day and overnight use; older cruiser reports (2016-2019) said overnight was allowed only in Road Bay and Crocus Bay, so confirm at clearance. Shoals lie at the bay ends, and swell wraps in when the trades go south-east. Land the dinghy on the beach by the Dune Preserve in calm conditions.
Best for
A south-coast overnight in northerly swell (with permission)
Season
Good in N swell; less so in SE trades
