Pigeon Beach (Falmouth)
17° 0.6′ N · 61° 46.6′ W
Pigeon Point Beach, on the south-west side of Falmouth Harbour, is a favourite of locals and yacht crews: soft sand, a gradual entry, plenty of tree shade and a reef just south of the beach for snorkelling.
Practical
A short walk from the Antigua Yacht Club Marina or a dinghy ride from the anchorage. Anchoring off the beach suits shallow-draft boats only (AMG); OSM marks an anchorage just off the beach (about 17.0105 N, 61.7772 W). Watch for dinghies and tenders when swimming. Bumpkins (drinks and lunch, sometimes dinner in high season) is at the top end; Catherine's Cafe at the other end. End point of the Middle Ground Trail.
