Eden Rock Beach Bar (Saint-Jean)
17° 54.2′ N · 62° 50.2′ W · approximate
The beach bar on the sand below Eden Rock, the landmark hotel on the volcanic rock that splits Saint-Jean Bay - billed as the island's best daytime social scene, with planes skimming in over the beach.
Practical
Position is the OpenStreetMap outline of the Eden Rock hotel (the bar is on its beach; approx). Non-guests welcome; lunch and dinner at the hotel restaurant, very expensive (four euro signs). Hours are seasonal - confirm with the hotel. Saint-Jean Bay is a day anchorage only (shallow reef-strewn bay with airport approach); most crews come by taxi or scooter from Gustavia. Stay well back from the runway end: departing aircraft pass low over the beach.
Best for
