The over-water restaurant at Captain Oliver's, on the old French-Dutch border at Oyster Pond, was a sailors' landmark for decades. It was wrecked with the marina by Hurricane Irma in 2017 and has not been confirmed reopened.

Coordinate is the Captain Oliver's restaurant building in OpenStreetMap, which is now tagged as a ruined restaurant. The adjoining marina is tagged as ruins: 'Harbour inoperational because of the destruction by hurricane Irma in 2017.' A 2023 France-Netherlands treaty put the border through the middle of the pond, leaving Captain Oliver's on the French side.
