The Transpac's Honolulu host club, founded in 1901 and headquartered in Ala Wai Harbor, whose Aloha Dock gives visiting cruisers a rare chance at a temporary berth among Honolulu's racing fleet.
Practical
Coordinates from the club's own map link. Visitor berthing: Noodle's Notes (Nov 2024) says the club keeps a few visitor slips at its Aloha Dock where visiting cruisers may moor temporarily; contact the harbormaster at (808) 949-4622. Noonsite (Feb 2016) advises members of other yacht clubs to call HYC or Waikiki YC for guest berthing; Royal Victoria YC lists HYC among its reciprocal clubs, so bring a membership card. The club website (hawaiiyachtclub.org, Clubspot) loads dining hours and event calendars dynamically; call ahead for bar hours and guest rules. Hosts the Hawaii end of the Transpacific Yacht Race with Waikiki Yacht Club (Wikipedia).
