22° 13.3′ N · 159° 35.0′ W
Kee Beach at the end of the road is the trailhead for the Kalalau Trail and a sheltered reef snorkel; entry to Haena State Park is by advance reservation only.
Practical
Entry reservations through GoHaena.com (non-residents): Parking + Entry Pass in morning (6:30 am-12:30 pm), afternoon (12:30-5:30 pm) and evening (4:30 pm-sunset) slots, with very limited availability; or Shuttle + Entry Pass from the Waipa Park & Ride in Hanalei (departures every 20 minutes, 7:20 am-12:40 pm) and Princeville. Hawaii residents and valid Na Pali camping-permit holders are exempt from entry reservations. Prices were not displayed on the site when checked; verify locally. Status: State Parks listed Haena State Park as reopening Thursday, October 15, 2026, after the September 2026 storm closures. Seasport Divers: Kee is 3-8 ft, snorkel inside the reef only; conditions past the reef can be dangerous. A boat landing at Kee is not an alternative: the Na Pali rules prohibit landings except at permitted sites.
