Zogeria Bay
37° 16.7′ N · 23° 6.3′ E
Twin pine-fringed coves on Spetses' north-west tip with crystal-clear water, a summer taverna and the 'Historical Bouboulina port' — the best snorkelling anchorage on the island.
Practical
Sailingissues anchorage marker. Noforeignland reviewers report excellent holding in 6–10 m and clear water; crowded at weekends, quieter midweek. Mind the submerged rock in the NE of the bay (it shows as darker water). Rock formations, especially around Lazareto cove immediately west, take long lines — but no anchoring is allowed in Lazareto cove during the season. In northerlies anchor south of the Agios Nikolaos landing quay. The taverna opens in summer (Wikivoyage mentions its chicken in tomato sauce with spaghetti); tourist boats come from Dapia. A local pod of short-beaked common dolphins is seen off Cape Zogeria.
