Bekiris Cave

37° 15.3′ N · 23° 6.7′ E

A sea cave with its own tiny sandy beach and dripstone formations, at the corner of Agioi Anargyri bay — once a hiding place for women and children during Ottoman raids.

Practical

OSM cave-entrance node; sailingissues places it directly west of the collapsed cliff at Agioi Anargyri. Swim in through the very low sea entrance, or use the steps/track overland from the northern edge of the beach. Bring a torch; go in calm water only.

Best for

Swimming into a cave from the anchorage
