Anchorage· Kastos· Greece — Ionian, Saronic & Argolic

Vathy Vali (Kastos)

38° 33.3′ N · 20° 54.0′ E

A lovely, very deep cove just south of Sarakiniko on the south-west side of Kastos.

Practical

As "vathy" (deep) suggests it is very deep, so get close to the shore in the northern cove and lay a second anchor or line onto the beach (sailingissues.com). Further south my-sea marks another anchorage (38.54383, 20.90424) where holding on sand and rock is dubious: take lines to the rocks to the NNW and you can stay the night; exposed to S-SE-SW.
