Corfu is the only place in Greece where the kumquat is grown, and its sweet orange liqueur is the island's signature souvenir. The Mavromatis family distillery, founded in 1965, makes kumquat liqueur, spoon sweets and mandolato nougat on the Paleokastritsa road.

Practical

Capacity about one million bottles of liqueur a year plus ouzo and fruit liqueurs (Mavromatis). Combine with a taxi to Paleokastritsa or the Bella Vista.
