Argostoli Port of Entry

38° 10.6′ N · 20° 29.6′ E · approximate

Argostoli is the official port of entry for Kefalonia — the place to clear in with the port police, sort the transit log (e-TL) and pay the TEPAI cruising tax if arriving from abroad.

Practical

Coordinate approx: Argostoli waterfront. Noonsite lists Argostolion as a port of entry. Port police practice varies: cruisers reported that EU-flagged boats were also told to check in with the usual documents, and a 2026 report put check-in at €15 cash. Non-EU boats need a transit log; an e-TL fee of €29.50 and a €300 fine for applying on arrival instead of online were reported. Carry a printed e-TL, insurance, crew list, TEPAI receipt and registration. Payments: some bank transfers bounce — commenters used the 20-digit admin code or 25-digit RF reference, or paid at a post office or via an agent. Confirm with the port police or AADE before relying on these.
