Vai Beach (Analipsi, Astypalaia)

36° 35.0′ N · 26° 24.1′ E

A small, quiet beach (Vai) on the northern shore of the Analipsi peninsula, just north-east of Maltezana, at the head of the cove used as the Analipsi North Cove anchorage.

Practical

Beach position and name (Βάϊ) from OpenStreetMap. Unorganised: no facilities are mapped, so bring water and shade. Anchor in the sandy patches off the beach among rock and seagrass (see Analipsi North Cove). The cove has no protection from NW, so it is a calm-weather or southerly stop. By land, it is a short drive from Maltezana.

Best for

A quiet swim off the east-wing anchorage

Season

Settled weather; open to NW
