Samiopoula Islet (Psalida Cove)
37° 38.0′ N · 26° 47.4′ E
Samiopoula, a 1 km2 islet less than 1 nm off Samos's south coast, has two small anchoring coves; Psalida, on the north-west side, is the one that hides from the meltemi.
Practical
Psalida is well protected from the NW meltemi (validated 2016). There is a modest taverna on the island (CruisersWiki), though samosin describes the beach as 100% nature with no water or food - bring your own. Day-trip boats from Pythagorio arrive almost daily in summer; come early or late.
Best for
