Pothia marine stores & chandlery
36° 57.1′ N · 26° 59.1′ E · approximate
Pothia's chandlery cluster: two marine supply stores across the road just north of the NW yacht quay, plus basic chandlery in shops by the fishermen's quay and good hardware and tool shops.
Practical
Noonsite (last updated 2017; 2016 cruiser report) puts two marine stores north of the NW yachting quay. Fuel comes by mini-tanker to the quay, ordered through the Harbour Master, or by jerry can from town. Greek gas and Camping Gaz are available, and there's a gas-filling plant just outside town. Water on the quay. In 2016 the municipality charged about €15 to dock on the west wall, €5 for about 11–12 kWh of electricity and €2.50 per half-tonne of water (verify locally). Ferry surge on that wall is strong, so use snubbers and keep well off. Approximate coordinate: shore just north of the NW yacht quay.
