Every August the shipowning families return and Mandraki fills to bursting with yachts and motor yachts of all sizes.
Practical
Expect no space on the yacht-club jetty in August; anchor at Agios Ioannis cove instead (CruisersWiki). The rest of the season the harbour is usually very quiet. Summer cultural events take place in town (chios.gr).
