Nereus Boatyard (Rhodes)
36° 26.5′ N · 28° 14.2′ E
Rhodes' established commercial boatyard, between Mandraki and Rhodes Marina, with a 60-tonne travel-lift and a cluster of workshops and chandlers behind it.
Practical
19 Australias St. Tel +30 2241 022717, nereus@otenet.gr (Noonsite). Grecosailor: about 2.8 m draught at the yard; a sailor review praises the efficient staff. Noonsite: most workshops, hardware stores and chandlers are in the area behind the yard. Rhodes Marina also runs its own dry-dock service (lifting, hardstanding, antifouling, engine work); ask the marina. About 1 nm south of the marina is the separate A1 Yachting yard, which Sailing Issues rates 'no-go' as a place to stay: derelict ships along the quay, no amenities, far from shops. Its VHF is 73.
