Glysteri Bay (Skopelos)

39° 8.7′ N · 23° 43.1′ E

A very small inlet about 4 km north of Skopelos town with a pebble beach, taverna and beach club popular with locals.

Practical

Poor holding (MarinaTips); exposed — calm conditions only, no shelter from S–W. The bay faces north-west and winter NW winds wash marine debris onto the bottom and shore (Dive Against Debris survey site). Lido, taverna and beach bar ashore (Thinking Traveller).

Best for

Lunch stop close to town in calm weather
