Atsitsa Bay (Skyros)

38° 55.0′ N · 24° 27.7′ E · approximate

A pine-wooded inlet on the north-west coast, once a mining port: the remains of a stone ore-loading viaduct still stand, and the alternative-holiday Skyros Centre is here.

Practical

Position is approximate. It was set in the water about 550 m west of the OpenStreetMap hamlet node, so check it on your chart. No anchoring data was found. Use Petritsa next door (good holding in 4 m) or Agios Fokas to the south. Greektravel calls the beach rocky and nearly unusable, but Grecosailor recommends a swim along the dramatic coastline. A small bistro operates in season (boote). The bay is exposed to the west and north-west.
