Astypalaia Port Authority & Entry Status (Skala)

36° 32.9′ N · 26° 21.2′ E · approximate

Astypalaia's Coast Guard station looks after Skala (Pera Gialos), Agios Andreas and the island's anchorages. Astypalaia is not a port of entry, so boats coming from Turkey or from outside Greece must clear in at Kos, Kalymnos or another entry port before arriving.

Practical

Port Authority Astypalaia, 85900: +30 22430 61208, astypalaia@hcg.gr (allovergreece). aegeanislands.gr prints these numbers with a 22340 prefix; the island's area code is 22430, which matches allovergreece. Police station +30 22430 61207, on Nik. Perdiki street just behind the Skala waterfront (OSM via Nominatim, 36.54757, 26.35375); emergencies 112. MarinaTips: a harbour master is available in the evening at Skala, and you should check VHF for the port authority (channel not published openly; listen on 16). Entry status: Noonsite's list of ports of entry has none on Astypalaia; the nearest are Kos and Kalymnos to the east, and in the Cyclades Ios, Mykonos, Syros and Tinos (Amorgos is not one). Have the e-Transit Log, registration, insurance, crew list, passports and TEPAI proof ready; Noonsite commenters report that port police practice on reporting at each port varies. Coordinate approx: set at the police station node beside Skala harbour; the port police office is on the same waterfront, so ask there for the door.
