Agia Marina Harbour (Leros)

37° 9.6′ N · 26° 51.2′ E · approximate

The administrative heart of Leros, on the south side of Alinda Bay, with a ferry pier, a waterfront of cafés and the Mylos taverna by its windmill-in-the-sea.

Practical

A 60–70 m pier with bollards is used mainly by ferries and hydrofoils; small craft can tie up in normal weather, but yachts generally anchor in Alinda Bay (4–6 m mid-bay) and dinghy in. Not safe in a strong N–NW meltemi. Local coastguard station (Limeniko Filakio Agias Marinas) +30 22470 22224. Fishermen's chandler in the village. Mylos (seafood) and Paradosiako (pastries) are favourites. Coordinate is approximate, just off the Agia Marina waterfront (checked against OpenStreetMap coastline).
