Zorkos Bay (Andros)

37° 58.2′ N · 24° 47.6′ E · approximate

A large bay with golden sand and crystal-clear water at the remote northern tip of Andros, half an hour by car from Gavrio on a gravel road.

Practical

The bay faces the open north, so it is a calm-weather or southerly-wind stop only; do not go in a meltemi. A summer tavern operates on the beach (Municipality of Andros). No pilot data found for depth or holding; approach with care and sound in. Pin is approx: about 110 m off the Zorkos beach polygon in OpenStreetMap, checked against the OSM coastline.

Best for

Remote sandy bay in calm or southerly weather

Season

Calm spells only; untenable in the meltemi
