Tsigouri Beach (Schinoussa)

36° 51.9′ N · 25° 30.9′ E

The island's most popular beach: about 350 m of sand lined with tamarisks on the south-west coast, a short walk from both Mersini and the Chora, with a beach bar and a small islet (Plaka) to swim out to.

Practical

No published pilot data was found for anchoring here. The position is OpenStreetMap's Tsigouri bay. The bay faces south-west, so expect it to be uncomfortable in southerlies; sound for sand patches and keep clear of swimmers. Plaka islet lies about 200 m off the beach (schinoussa.gr). The Tsigouri beach bar/restaurant is mapped on the beach (OSM, tel. +30 22850 76614). The nearest secure night berth is Mersini, just around the headland.
